A little guy with a big fight ahead

Our family is facing an unexpected challenge as Oscar has been recently diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of cancer that starts as a growth of cells in soft tissue and spreads quickly.

As he and our family begin this unexpected journey, our focus is on giving him the very best care while surrounding him (and his three siblings) with love, comfort, and hope.

Oscar is a sweet, stubborn, goofy, affectionate boy who loves giving kisses — especially to his mom ❤️. He is definitely his own spirit — he has been known to walk around the house the whole day in a superhero cape, or sometimes just his underwear and cowboy boots. He is very independent and tough as nails — we believe this will serve him well, but treatment will be HARD on him (and us).

Many friends and family have asked how they can support his family during this time. This fundraiser is one way to help ease the practical challenges that come with a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Contributions will help with medical-related expenses, travel to appointments/treatments, meals, time away from work, and other unexpected needs, allowing his family to focus on what matters most — supporting Oscar.
